Spinal Corrective Care is a system that promotes an optimal spine position for patients through chiropractic adjustments and specialized rehab. Its purpose is to decrease pain improve function, and build health for years to come.
Just like we as humans have a normal blood pressure, the spine has normal positions. It has to be straight up and down when looking from the front or back.
When looking at the spine from the side we have to have three very specific curves: in the neck, mid-back, and low back. When the body is in these positions, it operates at its best.
If the positions are lost, the body may be in a state of dis-ease. This can lead to many common issues such as pain, headaches, digestive problems or even fibromyalgia to name a few.
In our clinic, X-rays are typically taken prior to treatment. This is to rule out trauma or pathology and to show the position of your spine in relation to the optimal placement. These images then provide specific treatment locations.
Throughout care, we may also take additional x-rays, as part of the corrective care process, to show how your spine has adapted. The approach of taking x-rays during care differs from most other chiropractors, since other offices may not focus on normalizing the spine's position or follow up with post x-rays to show improvement.
